The drawings and paintings collected here fall somewhere outside the Fictions heading, or at least it seems that way to me. All of them are made on, and in, printed photocollages. As such, they are much like the blackout drawings, producing their illusions by an eradication, or distrubence, of the underlying photographic image(s). Some of the paintings end up entirely covering the original collage (in much the same way as a clay sculpture covers its armature). The applied color in the drawings, (colored pencils), remains mostly translucent.
